Wagon(S) Ho!!

Well! I've got the Wagon all lubed up, the mules are fed, watered, cussed at and rearing to go! This Sunday we head out on a cross country trip to the BIG CITY! Should be full of craziness and hesterical acts of comedy....if not, were not doing it right! The weather report is talking about snow, and Sunday being the worst day of all, which is just typical of any outing I go on, planned or not. Figures!

Mom and I are headed to see the sawbones and find out what lies in store. Should have some fun visiting the Brother, and might get to go shopping if the mules don't crap out too soon! Got a room at the local trail's end, so we wont have to camp jack it. Whew! Hate doing that in bad weather, so works for me.

The Husband is still toiling away in the "Land of Sand" and its getting hotter by the second! Suprised it dosent just melt right off the face of the earth! Forget scuds, just don't send any rain! LOL!

Spirits are high, moral is good, and we have plenty of M&M's and chocalate to see us thru any emergency. Should be okay. Got a spare mule, and plenty of stuff to trade for goods, so wish us luck!! The indian report looks good, and the rations are well stocked! And were off to see the Wizard! Screw the Yellow Brick Road, were taking the Highway. No sense getting out of whack entirely with this western idea! LOL!

To all the ones who are holding us in your hearts and prayers and thoughts, Thanks a Million!!! You are in ours too, and will initiate the Tin Can Tree A.S.A.P. to update you all on our progress. So I am posting in hopes of well wishes and healin' thoughts for Lucy. Took her to the Sawbones today and found out she has a potentially serious tumor on her hip. I scheduled her for surgery on Monday, and here's hoping we find out its benign, and that when they remove it, they get it all. The prognosis otherwise is such that I feel like pukin' wailin' and lockin' myself in a room full of wine and chocolate until my uterus falls out, and my heart explodes. For her part, she is takin' the news pretty well...the fact that she doesn't know squat about it helps a lot! It is complete crap that Mules get Cancer anyway. WTF!! They are only with us for such a short time in the first place, and as they are buckets of Love and affection( and a little shit-bit thrown in if yer Lucy) is just total B.S! This won't be one of my best posts', or really a funny one, but I feel as though I must be honest about some things in my life on here, and recently life has seriously kicked me in the face, trampled on my tender heart and left me in some difficult circumstances so I feel the need to spew. The Hubby, who got very very sick last Thanksgiving and continued to be ill and a medical mystery for the better part of a year, passed away at the young age of 61 on the 22nd of July, 2011. It was a stressful, shocking and altogether horrible event. Made worse for me by the previous deaths, also at very young ages' of both my parents...Dad in 2000, Mom in 2006. I had taken care of them both for rather long periods of time prior and it was no picnic to do the same for Steve. Dog Gone....

A storm blew into Queenie's world recently, and I plumb went 'round the bend. I decided that with all the recent changes in my life( Ya'll know they haven't been good ones) that I needed to downsize in some area's I would normally NEVER consider. I decided to re-gift a Mule. Pause here for dramatic effect. I can hear you all gaspin' in disbelief, and frankly, I can't even blame you. I felt like my guts were bein' ripped out thru my heart! I convinced myself that I was doin' this for all the right reasons, and that it was necessary. So, the other day, after much heartache, despair(these are my babies people!) I loaded up food and treats, hitched Stickers to the Wagon and roared down the dirt road toward town...
