MADAM QUEENIE!


Queenie is gettin' new digs, and as a result, the mules and I are online checkin' out what kinds of stuff we can stick in the place. We are exhausted from this exercise.
Now, I'm not plannin' on gettin' a ton of new stuff, but I want good stuff to park my fat chocolate filled ass on, so the few pieces I do get, I want to last.

My brother tells me that my style is Victorian Bordello. This means that I like tacky, shiny shit, that is comfortable, used, and mostly found at Garage Sales and Flea Markets. Brass, Copper, reds, Gilt and anything overstuffed or feminine, I am all for. GET OFF ME! Just think...copper pots, gilded Gold chairs, Mirrors, velvet curtains, Red and Rusted Rugs, fringe, woods that flow like mountain streams, crap covering every wall in sight, and teapots on shelves from the bedroom to the office! Potpourri scattered all over the place, Candles flickering with warm light, lucy's whiskers on fire( Damn Mule!) and the Hubby screamin' in abject fear of it all....Silk bedding, tons of Pillows in Pink and red and rust, with beads and diamond stitchin' Brass lamps, and copper pictures. A headboard done in Creamy White Chenille, the mules with their own little House of Ill Repute to hang out in, Copper chandeliers and Wine racks everywhere! Chocolate piled up in the kitchen and decadent goodies filling bowls of crap all over. And the paint colors! Pumpkin spice, Cayenne, Buff colored walls and Tapestries hung with pictures from trinket shoppes! Insert lusty insane laugh here!!!! Did I mention the House is Red? IT IS!!

Ah, the sheer decadence of it all! My Challenge is that it's winter, so no Garage sales, and I can't buy anything more until I get in the new place. Dammit!
I hate to wait.

Soon enough tho' the mules and I will pack our crap, careen' out of town and head for the new wide spot in the road. I can hardly wait! Soon I will be eatin' chocolate naked ,gazin at the view, laughin' like a whore on dollar nite! Whoo Hoo!

As to the furniture, rest assured, the Puke Gold and Green Couch, and the Pea Green Chairs are makin' the trip( likely tied to the Wagon with a pooped Lucy haulin' them. LOL!) Hopefully I can get them recovered in Bordello Red Chenille ASAP! Stay Tuned....

So I am posting in hopes of well wishes and healin' thoughts for Lucy. Took her to the Sawbones today and found out she has a potentially serious tumor on her hip. I scheduled her for surgery on Monday, and here's hoping we find out its benign, and that when they remove it, they get it all. The prognosis otherwise is such that I feel like pukin' wailin' and lockin' myself in a room full of wine and chocolate until my uterus falls out, and my heart explodes. For her part, she is takin' the news pretty well...the fact that she doesn't know squat about it helps a lot! It is complete crap that Mules get Cancer anyway. WTF!! This won't be one of my best posts', or really a funny one, but I feel as though I must be honest about some things in my life on here, and recently life has seriously kicked me in the face, trampled on my tender heart and left me in some difficult circumstances so I feel the need to spew. The Hubby, who got very very sick last Thanksgiving and continued to be ill and a medical mystery for the better part of a year, passed away at the young age of 61 on the 22nd of July, 2011. It was a stressful, shocking and altogether horrible event. Made worse for me by the previous deaths, also at very young ages' of both my parents...Dad in 2000, Mom in 2006. I had taken care of them both for rather long periods of time prior and it was no picnic to do the same for Steve. Dog Gone....

A storm blew into Queenie's world recently, and I plumb went 'round the bend. I decided that with all the recent changes in my life( Ya'll know they haven't been good ones) that I needed to downsize in some area's I would normally NEVER consider. I decided to re-gift a Mule. Pause here for dramatic effect. I can hear you all gaspin' in disbelief, and frankly, I can't even blame you. I felt like my guts were bein' ripped out thru my heart! I convinced myself that I was doin' this for all the right reasons, and that it was necessary. So, the other day, after much heartache, despair(these are my babies people!) I loaded up food and treats, hitched Stickers to the Wagon and roared down the dirt road toward town...
